Everything is blooming again, and you can see the cherry blossoms right from the window of The Bike Café Berlin.
April has really outdone itself this year: warm afternoon sunshine, crisp, clear mornings, and a sea of pink blossoms that transforms our street into the kind of backdrop you usually only see in travel guides. If you've passed by in recent weeks, you've already noticed — the cherry trees across the way are in full bloom, and the window seat has suddenly become the most coveted spot in the house.
Nothing but views all around
We don't have walls, only windows — and right now, that's paying off. No matter which table you sit at: you're looking out at blooming trees, people with their coffee cups in the sunshine, bikes leaned against the wall while someone snaps a photo. In winter, the café retreats into its lights and wood; now it feels like you're sitting half inside, half outside.
Seasonal menu: lighter, fresher, brighter
With spring comes our new seasonal menu. We've focused on what's growing right now and what sounds good:
- Rhubarb lemonade — homemade, with a hint of rosemary
- Strawberry-basil toast on crispy sourdough, with ricotta
- Asparagus quiche, available while white asparagus from Brandenburg is in season
- Iced matcha with elderflower — our new spring favorite
We haven't forgotten about coffee, of course. Our new single-origin from Ethiopia (Sidamo, washed) brings floral notes that seem almost too perfect for the season — as an espresso, or as a long filter coffee to enjoy outside.
Come by
Whether it's a break during your ride, a quick espresso before a meeting, or a long Sunday morning with a book and croissant — spring at the café is the most beautiful invitation we can extend.
We look forward to seeing you.
